In the Fall 2017 semester, I worked with an incredible team of passionate environmental students at the University of Michigan and dabbled seriously for the first time in videography. The premise of this wonderful little grassroots documentary is that Line 5, a pipeline that runs under the Great Lakes, is outdated and needs to be removed. I had a blast doing all of the editing and trying my hand at a different medium. Photography can capture a lot, but it alone could not tell this story that desperately needs to be told.

Had the pleasure of visiting the Shante Devoe Photography studio in Ypsilanti, MI to get these two a few pictures together for their own up & coming photography business! Keyon and Talicia were the best models and paid me in lots of laughs and good music.
Not the most likely of Spring Break trips, but certainly one of the most fascinating, beautiful, and exciting ones spent with the best company (@Natalie Drobny). Seattle/Portland, Spring Break 2017. A special trip with fellow photographer (and my best friend since 5th grade) Taylor Schroeder to Arcosanti, Arizona, the failed(?) experimental micro-city that built circles, cycles, and sustainability in Italian-American architect Paolo Soleri's desert vision. They say we in Arizona get our kicks on Route 66 but most of my kicks from coffee shops, succulents, and downtown graffiti these days. We're staying hip, kids. Unedited, taken in the 'dry heat' of Phoenix, AZ.
Nothing like days off with fellow camp counselors, exploring Northern Arizona (taken at Sedona, Prescott, and the Grand Canyon) I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Costa Rica and Panama through the Wildlands Studies program. I met people from all walks of life, traveled to new places, stayed in hostels and with welcoming indigenous people, and studied conservation in the rain forest. It's undoubtedly the most beautiful place on Earth.
I had the great pleasure of spending the holidays in Rome, Florence, and Venice with my family. Alternate title: Dogs of Italy As my father would say, downtown Gilbert, AZ is really "happening" these days. It's buzzing. And it was the perfect place to shoot on a cloudy evening with a good friend in the overwhelming heat of the summer. Plus it made me feel like I was living in a pink cloud. So take a peek, and let's flamingle.
